Checks & Balances

Hi Friends,

Letting the wrap-up of tax season teach me rather than stress me. Here are a couple of thoughts it’s inspired:

No. 1: Don’t procrastinate! It’s always easier to keep on top of your checks & balances as they come & go, rather than to wrack your memory at the end of the year. This doesn’t have to be expressly in finances; the same goes for the dishes!

No. 2: Systems work! Logging everything into your bookkeeping software (if you’re an independent contractor like me) takes a huge weight off your mind! Our minds are not meant to hold on to all of the dates & times & details of every little thing. Writing things into a calendar or using your favorite note-taking software frees your mind to be the creative force it’s meant to be.

No. 3: Health is vital! Not only to your finances, but mental, emotional & physical health all require consistent attention.

So don’t procrastinate to take care of yourself. Put systems in place & do yoga!!

Stay sane
love, Stephanie
