The Space Inside of Compression

The Space Inside of Compression

Squeezing, constricting, consolidating, compressing – a bunch of words that relate to space. But they probably didn’t make you think more space, did they?

It’s kind of a counterintuitive thought, but there is space inside of compression – or rather, just outside of it.

Think of twisting your spine – while in the twist its a little harder to breathe, organs feel squished & nerves might kick up to inform your stopping point – but when you unwind, all of those compressed tissues get flooded with new nutrients.

Because you added pressure to squeeze out the old, you made space for the new.

So, next time your tied up in some pretzel pose, remember that the discomfort is only temporary & a lot of Sukha (good space) awaits you!
