In-person Classes & Workshops

Your personal experience with pain or physical limitation may make showing up to a yoga class feel intimidating or intangible.

If the thought of being judged for modifying your practice, moving at your own pace, or some days needing to lay down for the entire class time is stopping you- don’t let it! There is a magic to a studio practice.

Stephanie is a 500hr E-RYT certified yoga instructor with additional training in adaptive yoga, yin yoga & has completed primary and advanced training with Unnata Aerial Yoga.

She holds a regular schedule of drop-in classes, workshops & series. Spaces for safe connection. Read on to see the current schedule.

YCR = the Yoga Center Retreat in St. Louis Park

MBP = the Minneapolis Bouldering Project on West River Rd

Class Descriptions:

Gentle Yoga: This Hatha style class is designed to build deep strength learning and assembling postures from the foundation up. There are no fancy transitions to allow deep stability for the joints. Each sequence will have a balance of standing, seated, lying & 1+ restorative postures. We use ample props and modifications. This class is for all ambulatory ability levels.

Vinyasa “Flow”: The Sanskrit word ‘vinyasa’ means link of movement and breath. This class keeps a steady pace of movement through standing, seated, prone & supine postures. Emphasis on props and modifications for all postures and transitions. Physically challenging to strengthen the body and mind, this class is still for all ability levels.

Aerial Yoga

Imagine feeling strong, weightless & playful while exploring traditional yoga postures (some of them upside down!), that’s the beauty of aerial yoga. An opportunity to find spinal alignment, joint traction & inverting with ease. Discover the benefits of this unique style that I’ve had the joy of sharing for a dozen years.

When can I try it?

Class Descriptions

Intro to Aerial Yoga Workshop: Elevate your yoga practice with aerial yoga. Using a fabric hammock as a prop, you’ll find new space, depth and challenge in your body and mind. Free joints from the pressure of gravity, invert with ease, and explore a new side to your mat practice.

Aerial Restorative, Yoga Nidra & Singing Bowls: Experience elevated relaxation in this unique workshop that just might invite you into the greatest nap of your life! We will combine restorative yoga on the mat and in the air with yoga nidra, all set to the ambient sounds of singing bowls. No aerial or yoga experience is required. We will not go upside down in this workshop.

4wk Aerial Yoga Series: Take your yoga practice to the sky with aerial yoga! Using a fabric hammock as a prop, we will transform our well-known yoga postures finding new space, depth and challenge in the body and mind. This 4-week series is designed to meet everyone where they are at, starting with week one as an intro class and building on information and skills the following 3 weeks. Aerial experience is recommended.

Aerial Playtime: This workshop is in the style of an open gym-we will warm up together and you’ll have the rest of the time to work on skills, tricks or just good old stretching out with the hammock on your own. Stephanie will be around to answer questions and maybe teach a new trick or two but you will be mostly left to your own devices, so this workshop requires that you have aerial experience.
