Chronic pain needs chronic care

If you live in chronic pain, then you likely know, its hard to handle solo. Yoga can help you build skills to ease the ups & downs of the rollercoaster ride of daily life in pain.

The beauty is, you don’t need much; maybe just a mat, an open mind & a guide – hopefully that can be me!

Style: Considerate

Explore movement in your body-of-the-day. Some days might call for a gentler Hatha yoga practice, a grounding restorative sytle or a guided meditation. Other days might need a breath-to-movement flow of a vinyasa class. Its all here & its all in consideration of a body in chronic pain.

Sequence: Balanced

Every class is sequenced with chronic pain in mind – though you don’t have to live with chronic pain to benefit. My theory on what sets apart a sequence for chronic pain is balance. A little bit of standing, seated & lying down. A balance of strength and softness. And an integration of the sides of yoga beyond the physical in each & every class.

Theory: Learning

I love that it is called a yoga “practice,” because truly, the learning is never done. If you live with chronic pain, you know that each day is different. The beauty of intuitive movement is the opportunity to learn yourself better & become empowered by that connection.

*Important Note

At the moment, all classes in the video library are ambulatory. The ability to get up & down from the floor is often practiced & involved in the class sequencing.
